naked and vulnerable

I could cut of all my hair

turn on every last fluorescent light

shed all my clothes till I’m stark naked in this empty space

but you still wouldn’t see me

your eyes might scan right past me

as they would a camouflaged moth on a tree

except I haven’t got any wings

and it’s impossible for me to fly away to any place but here

the invisible space in front of your bare eyes

where nothing is seen

and everything is missing
